Course Offerings

Tuition and Financial Aid

The tuition for each course (3-credits) is $4,000. Those who register and submit payment in full by February 29, 2020 OR who register for two (2) courses will receive 15% discount off tuition. Limited need-based Harvey Mudd College scholarship assistance is available to assist participating degree-seeking HMC students in covering the costs of the Summer Session. To be eligible for consideration, an HMC student must have applied and qualified for need-based Harvey Mudd College scholarship funds during the 2019–2020 academic year. Eligible students request financial assistance on the and should submit their application by Friday 17th, 2020 to be considered. HMC students will be notified, no later than April 24, 2020, of their eligibility for financial assistance.

Enrollment Deposit

a $300 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm enrollment into a class. the enrollment deposit will be credited toward your account and reflected on the april 30, 2020 statement. your remaining payment will be due in full by may 18.

Eligible students who apply for financial aid will not be required to submit the enrollment deposit. Also, students approved for a payment plan should discuss the enrollment deposit with Student Accounts. Information on payment methods can be found on the Student Accounts Payment Methods webpage.

Room and Board

Students participating in the Summer Session are not required to live on campus. However, students interested in summer housing should contact Facilities and Maintenance at 909.621.8226 for information. Due to limited housing, preference will be given to currently matriculated HMC students.

Students are able to take advantage of The Café and Hoch-Shanahan Dining Commons when they are open. For Hoch, students in the Summer Session will be required to pay the door rates. Deadlines

  • Application and Registration: Please submit the by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2020 for priority consideration.
  • Late registrations will be considered until the first day of class.
  • Payment: Arrangements for payment of all fees must be completed at the Office of Student Accounts no later than Friday, April 24, 2020 by 5 p.m. Checks should be made payable to Harvey Mudd College.

Refunds

  • Tuition – Full refund (per course) minus deposit if course is dropped by noon of the second (2nd) day of class for 3-week courses and by noon of the third (3rd) day of class for 6-week courses. 50% refund if course is dropped by noon of the third (3rd) day of class for 3-week courses and fifth (5th) day of class for 6-week courses.
  • Room – Prorated to summer housing rate per night if move-out completed and key returned to F&M by noon following the day the course is dropped. Late departures incur a fine of $100 per day for each late day after the deadline, as indicated in the Summer Housing Agreement.
